Jesus is our lifeline.

He is the bridge between heaven and earth. Through him we are in a covenant relationship with the Father. He didn’t come to give us a set of rules to live by; he came to make us one with him and to have a relationship with us. He came to make us his children.

God made a covenant with you.

He didn’t have to. He made us promises and he has obliged himself to us. He didn’t have to. He promised to protect us. He promised to be our God and He signed this covenant with the Blood of Jesus. He didn’t have to.

He can’t go back on his word and He won’t.

He doesn’t want to! God gets nothing out of his covenant with you except YOU. You get everything. The Bible says that all of God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus our Lord (2 Corinthians 1:20). There is so much more to God than we know.

God made a covenant of promises to us through Jesus. There is access only through Jesus. He is the way. Jesus made the covenant with God for us and willingly died for us to secure it for us forever. We get it all through faith.

He gave us himself in the Eucharist that we may partake of this NEW COVENANT. We partake or consume the sacrificial lamb slain for us. He came to bring us life and he wants us to choose life in him. When we eat this bread and drink this wine we declare his death and resurrection to the whole world. We let everyone know we believe that he died for our sins and rose to bring us new life.

The Eucharist is our yes to Jesus.

We remind ourselves and those who see us and even God that we are believers; we are his. We let the world and the devil know we are born into the KINGDOM of God and do not belong to this worlds. We are God’s very own children. When we partake of the Eucharist, we share in the New Covenant.

We become one with Him and each other. It is our declaration of who we are and who believe in. When we consume the body of Jesus, we remember the covenant and sacrifice it took to ratify it. Jesus became one of us and died for us. He represents us as He is a man. Yet because he is God he can be that perfect lamb and rise from the dead bringing us into new life.

Just like in the OLD COVENANT or Old Testament the bulls and lambs were slain to cover their sins, Jesus took the cross to be slain for us once and for always; forever and ever he took away our sins freeing us from the hold and bondage of sin.

Jeremiah 31:31‬

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, ….33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Luke‬ ‭22:17-20‬

“Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, ‘Take this and share it among yourselves; for I tell you [that] from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.’ Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.’ And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.’”‬

1 Corinthians 11:26‬

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”‬

When we partake of the sacrament or sacrifice of Christ we ratify our membership in the new covenant. We confirm who we are. We remind God that we remember what Christ did for us. Every time you take communion you are saying Yes to Jesus. yes to the Father. Jesus did the work. Jesus did the hard part, our part is to receive and partake.

The Father chose a Covenant relationship with us through Christ Jesus.

He didn’t have to. He chose to make a covenant with us. We don’t have to do anything but believe and partake. He chose us!! He chose to be one with us in Christ. The Father chose to be our God and through this covenant relationship we get all the benefits. He signed the covenant with the Blood sacrifice of his very own son Jesus Christ. God bought for us the all expense paid trip to eternity. We just don’t know it is ours!!!! We are walking through life without enjoying all the benefits of being a child of the King. These benefits God paid a mighty high price for. He did it because we are worth it to him.

Jesus became a curse so we could receive all the blessings.

Galatians‬ ‭3:13-14‬

“Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree,” that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Wow, Jesus did soooo much for us!

People are perishing and walking through a hopeless fruitless life all because they don’t know the riches that belong to those who are children of the king.

Jesus chose to be cursed (cut off) so we could inherit the land (the kingdom of God).

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20

“For those blessed by Him will inherit the land, But those cursed by Him will be cut off.” – Psalm 37:22

“for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.” – Ephesians‬ ‭2:18‬

“Put on the new self, created in God’s way in righteousness and holiness of truth.” ‭– Ephesians‬ ‭4:24

“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ.” – Colossians 2:13

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” – Romans 6:23

Now you must begin to renew that soul of yours, your mind, your will and your emotions. They have been trained in the flesh but now it’s time to train your soul in the spirit. Time to grow up. The Bible says to renew your mind.

Romans‬ ‭12:2‬

“Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.”‬‭
