BE HEALED in the NAME of JESUS

By Marybeth Wuenschel

I want to bring God’s Word to life regarding healing. I want you to know that God wants you healed and whole and living a good healthy life, free from depression, anxiety, sickness, and disease. This is God’s desire and will for you. I want to prove to you that it is not only God’s desire to heal you but also His will.Exodus 15:26 “I am the Lord who heals you.”

God wants you well, healthy, and whole. He can’t help it; it’s who He is. It is His nature to heal. It is the Father’s nature and will to heal you.

Psalm 103: 2-5 Bless the Lord, my soul; and do not forget all his gifts, Who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills,Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with mercy and compassion, Who fills your days with good things, so your youth is renewed like the eagle.

There is no sin God won’t forgive, no disease God won’t heal, and no pit too deep for God’s rescue. God wants it all for you. He wants you to live a good life, a life of peace and joy, with all your days filled with good things. Though it sounds too good to be true, instead, it is both good and true.
Jesus did nothing on His own. Everything Jesus did, He did according to the will of the Father. It’s the Father’s will to heal you.

Jesus healed so many people that if we were to get rid of all the healing accounts and every demonic deliverance found in the Gospels, there would be very little left of the Gospels.

Jesus healed when He walked on the Earth, and He hasn’t changed, nor has His healing power diminished. Jesus didn’t simply die; He rose from the dead. Jesus is alive, and He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8), which means He hasn’t changed. If Jesus healed then, He heals now.

  • If God healed the blind man Bartimeus, then He will heal you.
  • If God healed the daughter of the Canaanite woman, then He will heal your daughter.
  • If God healed the woman with the issue of blood or the Centurion’s servant, why not you and yours?

They were not exceptional. They were not Holy nor sinless. They were no more or less deserving than you.

Peter Heals the Lame Man

In Acts, chapter 3, there is an amazing story of Peter and John and what happened on their way to the Temple. Peter told a man, begging at the Temple gate, to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus. He had been lame for more than 40 years. Peter lifted him up, and his feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened as if he had never been lame a single day of his life. Everyone was staring at Peter and John. Peter said to all those staring at Him, “Why are you looking at us as if we had something to do with this; as if we made this man walk by our own power or godliness.”
NO. It had nothing to do with Peter. It had nothing to do with his goodness or his special praying ability or his power. It was all about Jesus and still is.

Acts 3:12-13, 16“People of Israel,” Peter said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness? 13 For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of all our ancestors—who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this….” Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes NLT.

God wants to heal you, not because you are holy, but because Jesus is Holy; not because you are perfect, but because Jesus is; not because of the great things you do, but because of all the great things Jesus does. He gets all the credit.
Jesus said in John 14:12 that we would do the works He did and even greater works than He did because He was going to the Father. Jesus had no intention of having His mission stalled after He died and went to Heaven. On the contrary: things were just beginning.
Jesus goes on to say in…

John 14:13-14“And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”

We represent Jesus while on Earth, and He is hoping we represent Him well. Jesus wants us to allow Him to glorify His Father. We allow Jesus to show off His Father and let Him shine here on Earth when we ask in His name. God wants more for you than you do; certainly more for you than you are currently experiencing.

In Mark, chapter 9, a man asks Jesus to help His son who is possessed by a demon… if He “can.” Jesus answers him, “What do you mean, ‘If I can?'” Jesus went on to say, “Everything is possible to one who has faith.” Jesus can do anything. It is not a question of what Jesus can do. The question is, rather, what are you willing to believe?
Everything is possible for the one who believes. I want you to know that the sky’s the limit for you because that is how God sees it. That is how God made it. Everything is possible depending on your faith. You may have very little faith right now, but that is not how you will remain. You are going to see a different side of Jesus as we take a walk through His Word.
