You Are Worth Healing

By Marybeth Wuenschel

God loves you and thinks you are worth healing. God’s love for you is not based on your ability to love God but on His ability to love. God is the source of love, not you. His love for you is unconditional, unending, and sure. God decided you are worth healing. The Bible says he poured His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, which is why we can now love. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Love comes from God, and it’s His gift to us, His children. How can I prove to you that God thinks you are worth healing? Just like God sent His son to the earth to die for you because he loves you, He sent His son to the earth to heal you because He loves you. Now, you just have to accept His love.

We are able to love, because we are full of His love. In the same that we love because He first loved us, we have the ability to choose God because he first chose us. If God hadn’t chosen us, we would not be able to choose him.You are worth healing because God loves you and has chosen you. He already loves you and has chosen you. You are worth healing because He says so.

The Bible says that God sent forth His Word to heal us.You must know that you are worth healing and that God sent His son to heal us.

Psalm 107:20 [God] sent forth His Word to heal them and snatched them from the grave.

Jesus is the Word God sent. The Word of God came to earth as a human to do God’s will. Jesus is the Word of God and God sent Jesus to do his will and his will is to heal you and me. God had a purpose in sending us His son and we are His purpose. He sent Jesus to heal us, save us and fill us with His love and mercy.

John 1:1-4 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

God sent His Word to the Earth to accomplish his will. He sent His word and it will do what He sent it to do. You can count on it.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but shall do what pleases me, achieving the end for which I sent it.

God said again in Isaiah 55, “Just like I send the rain and snow to the Earth so shall my word go forth.” As the Word of God, Jesus was sent to Earth to rebuild, restore, replenish, and rescue.

God made a covenant with us.

God has done His part; He made a covenant with us through His son, Jesus. He sealed the covenant with the blood of Jesus. He had His son crucified as a permanent sacrifice. Further, His decision to love and heal you has already been made, and it too is permanent.

God does not change his mind!

God will not go back on His Word. He can’t. He decided to forgive and heal us by sending His Son to live and die for us. He did it, not knowing if anyone would accept it or receive this gift of love and forgiveness. What if no one did? What if only one person received God’s love by accepting this gift of salvation? God would have sent His son for just one person. What if that one person was you? If you were the only one to believe in Jesus and accept His free gift of salvation, God would have sent His son for you. That is how much He loves you.

God chose to bind Himself to a covenant relationship with us through His son Jesus, binding them both to us. They didn’t have to; this was an act of incredible love. God chose us, and now He is waiting for us to choose Him and become part of His family by entering into this Covenant relationship with Him. It is wide open to all who receive Him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. John chapter 1 says that the Word of God became flesh and made His dwelling among us. Jesus was with God in the beginning when God created the heavens and the Earth and everything in it. Everything God created came to be through His Word, through Jesus.

John 1:1-3* In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came to be through Him, and nothing came to be without Him.*

Jesus came to make us sons and daughters of God. Though He came first to the Jews, they did not accept Him. But to those who did receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the power to become children of God

Communion reminds us that Christ died for us.

Every time we take communion, we remind ourselves–and God– to whom we belong. When we eat His Body and drink His Blood, we proclaim His death and our allegiance. We are declaring we are partakers in the New Covenant. By eating the sacrifice, we show ourselves to be part of the Covenant in the Blood of Jesus. We are saying “yes” to the covenant God made with Jesus for us.

In Christ and through Christ, we are now children of the Most High God, and because of that, we are special, and we receive all the benefits and rights that come with being Children of the King of Kings.

We access all the benefits of the Kingdom of God through Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and life. He is our access into the throne room of the Father. Jesus, by His death, made the way for us to go to the Father. God knew from the beginning that we could never make it to Heaven on our own. He knew before time began that we needed a savior. We could never measure up; we could never be perfect. But Jesus could. Jesus is the only one who could be the unblemished lamb, and therefore He was sacrificed for all of us. He was so perfect that His blood won entrance to Heaven for the entire world.

We could never make it to Heaven without Jesus. Fortunately, we were never meant to. God had planned it all along. “When the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son, born of a woman.

God gives his children choices.

God wanted us as His children all along. Despite that, He gave us a choice. Through Christ, we become children. God gave us everything because of Jesus. Jesus won everything for us when He died for us. The Bible says that if God gave us Jesus, what else will He give us? There is nothing He is keeping from us, least of all healing. God gave us Jesus as proof of His love. If He will give us Jesus, He will give us anything and everything. There is nothing He won’t do for you, His child.

You can be pitiful, or you can be powerful, but you can’t be both. Joyce Meyer

He wants us to love Him, follow Him, serve Him and trust Him with our health and welfare. He is our Father, our provider, our protector, our defender, and our ever-present help in time of need. You are worth healing. And He expects us to believe this and act as if we believe it
