Don’t Stay Sick!

Don’t Stay Sick! God loves you and wants you better. If you haven’t yet been to Mass, today’s Gospel reading is Luke 7:1-10. A centurion had a servant that was Sick and dying and summoned Jesus. When Jesus drew near, the centurion, a pagan, sent prominent Jewish elders to Jesus asking him not to approach his home, but to to just say the word and his servant would be healed.

This soldier new Jesus was God and could just speak and the body of his servant would be healed. He could speak from a distance!! No one had ever been so bold to ask such a thing and Jesus was amazed at this man’s faith.

Isn’t it interesting that this man’s faith was greater than any faith Jesus had seen in all of Israel. What was so special about this man’s faith. It obviously had nothing to do with who he was or where he went to church. This man’s faith was believing Jesus was God, was able and was willing.

This is the same faith Jesus is looking for today.
