God Still Loves You

God doesn’t love you more today than yesterday, nor will He love you more tomorrow than He does today.  God loves you period. God’s love is unconditional. God doesn’t love you more when you are good and less when you are bad. We, however, may do that. In fact, we do. When someone is bad, we treat them as though they are bad, but God is not like us. His standards are not our standards; “his ways are not our ways” (Isaiah 58:8-9).

We think God is like us, so we naturally expect Him to act as we do. We expect God to become inpatient with us or turn his back on us because we have experienced that kind of love. God, in fact, never gets moody, nor does He ever get frustrated or irritated with us. He never has a bad day. Our love is conditional so we expect God’s love to be conditional. God’s love is unconditional.

Our Love is Selfish

We love people until they hurt us or deceive us. We love those who love us back. Our love is selfish, if we are honest. God’s love is sacrificial, enduring, and never ending. We will sacrifice up to a point. We don’t understand sacrificial love especially if we have never experienced it. His love never wavers. He is the source of all love. God is love. He can’t not love us. He loves the unlovable and the sinner even when he sins.

God Does Not Quit

God will not throw in the towel where you are concerned. He is patient with you. He knows you and still loves you. You must believe that God loves you, or you will never trust Him to heal you. If we can’t believe God loves us, how will we believe He wants to heal us or bless us? It is hard to believe God loves us because we know how sinful we can be. We doubt God would love us as we are. God has proven He loves us. It is up to us to receive His love. We receive His love by believing we are forgiven and healed. We need to trust that God’s love is unconditional. He simply loves you.

ROMANS 5:8 But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

What does God have to do to prove to you that He loves you?

Jesus proves God’s love for us once and for all. It’s up to us to believe it. God is not going to prove His love; He already has. If you don’t believe God loves you after He sacrificed His Son for you, then nothing else He does will convince you. There is nothing God can do to prove His love to you if the cross isn’t proof enough.

Jesus died for the ungodly, not the godly. He died for you. You are the ungodly person Jesus died for. God wants you to know that He still loves you when you sin, unconditionally. His love for you is not based on how you act or the good works you perform. His love for you never changes. He has already made up His mind about you, and He will never change His mind.

God Loved Us First

God is not waiting for us to do something to earn His love. He simply loves us. God is not waiting for you to love Him first. He loved you first! He beat you to love. 1 John 4:19 says “We love because He first loved us.”  He already loves you and proved it by dying for you while you were still a sinner. He did it, so you will know you are always loved, sin and all. His love is unconditional.

ROMANS 5:6-11  For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly. 7 Indeed, only with difficulty does one die for a just person, though perhaps for a good person, one might even find the courage to die. 8 But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 How much more then, since his blood now justifies us, will we be saved through him from the wrath. 10 Indeed, if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, once reconciled, will his life save us. 11 Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Once, I had a friend tell me, “I can’t believe God loves me.” I told her what I tell you now: If you don’t believe God loves you, you won’t believe He wants to heal you. Further, if you don’t believe God loves you, you won’t believe you are forgiven. You won’t accept His gift of healing and salvation.

Believe God’s Love for You is Unconditional

Don’t wait to feel loved and feel forgiven to believe. Believe you are entirely forgiven and loved unconditionally. If you don’t, you will never believe you are worthy of any of the promises or gifts of God. Faith is a decision, a decision to believe God loves you. He can’t prove it to you any more than He already has. So, it’s up to you to receive His love by faith.

I finally told my friend to receive love for His sake. You owe it to God to believe He loves you. He gave Jesus for you; there is nothing more He can do to prove He loves you. How many sons does He have to crucify to get you to believe God loves you?

I told her and am telling you now, wherever you are, lift your hands up to the Lord and say, “Lord, I choose to believe you love me (whether you do or don’t). I choose to believe as my gift to you. So, whether or not you love me is up to you, God. I am going to believe you do and give my faith to you as a gift.”

God Wants our Faith

Give God the gift He wants from you: faith that He loves you. Faith is our gift to God. He wants you to rest in Him and trust Him to come through for you. Trust Him to care for you. Quit believing the lies. Quit believing you have let Him down. Get over it! You did let Him down. You failed! Now, own it and trust in His forgiveness. He can’t forgive what you still won’t recognize as sin. Until you admit you’re wrong, God can’t forgive you. He forgives sinners. Those who keep deflecting the sin and choose to shift the blame will remain unforgiven.

Believe in His Love

We trust more in sin’s power to condemn us than we do in the Cross’ power to forgive us. God calls us to rest in Him and to believe in His love today like never before. May this be the day you increase your faith in your God’s desire to care for you, protect you, provide for you and heal you.

God cares for you here on Earth. His goal is not only to get you to Heaven. His goal is to bring you to life in Him right now. His protection and provision are for you here and now on Earth. There is no need for security, provision, and healing in Heaven. There is no danger in Heaven to protect you from. There is no sickness in Heaven. In Heaven, we are perfectly safe and have all we need. His protection and healing are for us here on earth.

Psalm 91: 2-4  This I declare about the Lord:  He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.4 He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. NLT

All of God’s promises are for us here on Earth. Now is the time to trust Him to protect and heal you. Again, right now, wherever you are, lift your hands up to the Lord and say:

“Lord, I choose to believe you love me (whether you do or don’t). I choose to believe as my gift to you. So, whether or not you love me is up to you, God. I am going to believe you love me and give my faith to you as a gift. I choose to believe I am forgiven and that you are no longer holding any sin against me. I choose to believe that Jesus’ passion (death, burial, and resurrection) were enough to pay for all my sins. I can’t pay for my sins, but Jesus can and did.”

Accept God’s Greatest Gift – His Love

If God gave His son for us because He loves us and for no other reason, don’t you think the greatest gift we can give God is to believe He did it and accept this love? Don’t let God’s gift to you go unanswered. Don’t let Christ’s death be in vain. Receive the gift of His love.
