Declarations for Healing: Speaking God's Word Over Your Life

Scripture-based healing declarations to speak aloud daily — what declarations are, why speaking God's Word matters, and a starter list drawn straight from the Bible.

A declaration is simply God's Word spoken aloud in the first person — taking what Scripture says about you and saying it with your own voice. It is not positive thinking and it is not pretending: it is agreeing out loud with what God has already said.

Scripture puts remarkable weight on the spoken word: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21), and Jesus taught that we will have what we say in faith (Mark 11:23). Declarations put that principle into daily practice.

Starter Declarations, Straight from Scripture

Each declaration below is anchored to the verse it comes from. Speak them aloud — morning, evening, or any time sickness or fear tries to speak first.

  • "The Lord is my healer." — Exodus 15:26
  • "By His wounds, I am healed." — Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24
  • "God forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases." — Psalm 103:3
  • "He sent His word and healed me." — Psalm 107:20
  • "I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord." — Psalm 118:17
  • "God's words are life to me and health to my whole body." — Proverbs 4:22
  • "No weapon formed against me will prosper." — Isaiah 54:17
  • "God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7
  • "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus." — 2 Corinthians 5:21
  • "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." — Philippians 4:13

How to Practice Declarations

  1. Choose a few, not all. Two or three declarations spoken consistently beat twenty read once.
  2. Say them aloud. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) — your own ears are part of the practice.
  3. Anchor them to the verse. A declaration's power is that it is God's Word, not wishful words. Know where yours comes from.
  4. Keep going. Declarations are watering, not a vending machine. Consistency over weeks is where minds are renewed.
